Privacy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Lahazat collects through this website, why we collect it, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

In this policy, “personal data” means any information that identifies you, or could be used to identify you, such as your name, phone number, national ID number or a photo of an official document. “Processing” means anything we do with that data, including collecting, storing, using, sharing and deleting it. Please take a few minutes to read this policy carefully.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

We are Lahazat LLC, a delivery and logistics company registered in Egypt [to confirm: commercial registration number], located at 41 El Hegaz St, El-Bostan, Heliopolis, Cairo Governorate 11531, Egypt (“Lahazat”, “we” or “us”).

We decide how and why your personal data is processed through this website, which makes us responsible for it under Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020 and its executive regulations.

If you have any question about how we handle your personal data, or want to use any of your rights, please email us at [email protected].

2. What personal data we collect

We only collect the personal data you choose to give us through our forms, and a small amount of technical data needed to run the website safely.

When you contact us

Your first name, last name, email address and the content of your message.

When you apply to work with us

Your first name, last name, mobile phone number, the governorate you would like to work in, your national ID number, photos of the front and back of your national ID card, your driving licence and your motorcycle licence.

Your national ID number and the documents you upload are sensitive. We collect them only to confirm your identity and your legal right to drive, and we handle them with extra care (see section 6).

When you browse the website

Technical information that our website’s hosting service records automatically, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit and the date and time of your visit.

The website does not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add any in the future, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy.

3. How we use your personal data and why

3.1 To answer your messages

We use the details you send through the contact form to reply to you and deal with your request. We do this because you asked us to contact you, and because responding to enquiries is a legitimate part of running our business.

3.2 To review your job application

We use your application to assess whether you meet the requirements for the role, to confirm your identity and that you hold valid driving and motorcycle licences, to contact you about your application, and to plan which delivery zone in your chosen governorate you could work in.

We do this because you asked to be considered for a role with us, and because we must confirm that the people who deliver on our behalf are who they say they are and are legally allowed to drive. We rely on your consent, which you give by submitting the form, to process the documents you upload.

3.3 To run and protect the website

We use technical data to keep the website working, to understand and fix problems, and to protect it against misuse and attacks. We do this because it is necessary to provide a safe and reliable website.

3.4 On our social media pages

We have pages on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. When you visit or interact with them, those platforms process your personal data under their own privacy policies. They may give us general, anonymous statistics about how people use our pages, which do not identify you.

3.5 To meet legal obligations

We may need to keep or share certain personal data to comply with Egyptian law, to respond to a lawful request from a public authority, or to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights.

You do not have to give us any personal data. However, if you choose not to fill in the required fields, we will not be able to reply to your message or consider your job application.

4. Who receives your personal data

Our team

Only the Lahazat staff who need your data to do their job can see it. For example, only our recruitment team can see job applications and the documents attached to them.

Service providers

We use trusted companies to host our website and to receive the information you send through our forms. They may only use your data to provide their service to us, under our instructions, and must keep it secure and confidential.

Public authorities

We may share personal data with courts, the police or other public authorities when the law requires it.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone. We do not share job applicants’ data with our partner companies.

5. Transfers outside Egypt

Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Egypt. Where this happens, we only transfer personal data in line with Law No. 151 of 2020, including obtaining any licence or permit it requires and making sure the data receives a level of protection no lower than in Egypt.

6. How we protect your personal data

Your connection to our website is encrypted. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it, and documents uploaded with job applications are stored separately with stricter access controls. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. If a data breach puts your rights at risk, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Center and you, as the law requires.

7. How long we keep your personal data

We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described above:

  • Contact messages: up to one year after our last reply to you.
  • Job applications that do not lead to a role: up to six months after we decide on the application, then deleted, including the uploaded documents.
  • Applications that lead to working with us: for as long as you work with us, and afterwards for as long as Egyptian law requires.
  • Technical website data: up to 90 days, unless needed to investigate a security incident.

8. Your rights

Under Law No. 151 of 2020, you have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
  • Correct personal data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Have your data deleted or its processing limited, unless the law requires us to keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
  • Object to processing that you believe goes against your fundamental rights and freedoms.
  • Be told about a data breach that affects your personal data.
  • Complain to Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Center if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

To use any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on your request, and we will reply within the time the law requires.

9. Age

This website is not intended for children. You must be at least 18 years old to apply to work with us. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without the required consent, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We review this policy regularly and may update it, for example when we add new features to the website. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated. If we make important changes, we will make them clear on our website.

This Privacy Policy was last updated on 30 October 2026.
